About Brauerei Gold Ochsen
Brauerei Gold Ochsen GmbH is a traditional family brewery in Ulm whose roots go back to the year 1597. The company produces a wide range of beers, including Ulmer Hell, Pils, wheat beers, Kellerbier and limited vintage beers, and since 2017 has been filling the Afri-Cola and Bluna brands for Mineralbrunnen Überkingen-Teinach AG. The brewing water comes exclusively from the Veitsbrunnen well on the brewery premises, at 234 meters the deepest well in Ulm. Since 2012, two bottle filling lines with up to 40,000 bottles per hour each have been available, and since 2020 a can filling line with around 10,000 cans per hour has complemented them. Together with Ulmer Getränke Vertrieb GmbH (UGV), founded in 1960, the company forms the largest beverage group in the Danube-Iller region. The brewery has been led since 1991 by Ulrike Freund, in the fifth generation of the Leibinger family.
