About Brauerei Grohe
Brauerei Grohe GmbH is a traditional Darmstadt brewery whose origins go back to the inn with brewery “Zum Erbacher Hof” from 1711. Since 1839, the operation has been located on today's brewery premises at Karlstraße corner Nieder-Ramstädter Straße. Beer specialties such as Grohe Hell, Pils and Weizen are brewed, along with specialty beers such as Märzen and Bock, complemented by non-alcoholic Fassbrause. In 2019, the brewery produced around 16,000 hectoliters of beer with a five-person operation and generated revenue of about two million euros. In addition to brewing, the company operates its own brewery taproom with beer garden and the function room “Alte Scheune”, offers brewery tours, and supplies beverage retailers, pubs and beer gardens in the region. The brewery buildings are listed as historical monuments.
