About the Brewery

Brauerei Gutmann is a family-owned brewery based in the Titting water castle in Titting (Eichstätt district, Bavaria). It brews exclusively wheat-based beers in various styles; over 90% of the beers produced are wheat beers, including hefeweizen, weizenbock and alcohol-free variants. The beers are not pasteurized. The brewery has its own malthouse as well as its own yeast propagation; the brewing water comes from a well in a water protection area. In 2008, approximately 120,000 hl of beer were brewed, and in 2024 the company employed 55 staff. Founded in 1707, the brewery has been owned by the Gutmann family since 1855 and hosts the annually held, regionally renowned Tittinger Kellerfest (cellar festival).
