About Brauerei im Füchschen
Brauerei im Füchschen is a traditional home brewery in Düsseldorf's old town and one of only four remaining long-established Altbier brewing sites in the city. At the location Ratinger Straße 28/30, top-fermented Füchschen Alt is brewed according to a secret family recipe; since 2017, Füchschen Pils has supplemented the range, along with the wheat beer Silberfüchschen, an annual Christmas beer as well as non-alcoholic Alt and Alt-Radler. The company operates its own brewery tavern, fills its beers in 0.33-l and 0.5-l bottles as well as kegs from 5 to 50 liters, and distributes its beers regionally via around 75 beverage wholesalers in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area. At the Düsseldorf fair (Rheinkirmes), the brewery operates a festival tent. Beer output in 2025 was approximately 33,500 hectoliters; before the pandemic it stood at around 42,000 hectoliters. The brewery is owned by the König family, now in its fourth generation.
