About Brauerei-Kompass

Brauerei-Kompass.ch is an online directory of Swiss breweries and their beers, operated by Ronny Mathieu. The platform, conceived in April 2013 and launched online on 20.09.2013, was funded to a large extent through crowdfunding. The portal offers photos and descriptions of all Swiss breweries including an overview map, photos and descriptions of beers, a search for breweries in the surrounding area or by canton, as well as a detailed search for beers covering more than 40 beer styles. In addition, events such as tastings, brewing seminars, beer hikes or beer festivals can be listed free of charge; a blog with news, reviews and recipes as well as a newsletter (2–4 issues per year) round out the offering. Listing is free of charge for all breweries; the portal is based in Ittigen (canton of Bern).
