About Brauerei Kronburg
Brauerei Kronburg is a Bavarian private brewery based in Kronburg (district of Unterallgäu), first mentioned in writing in 1576. Since 1891 the company has been owned by the Schweighart family and is today run in the fifth generation by Florian and Alexandra Schweighart. The brewery produces eight different beer specialties with an annual output of around 5,000 hectoliters, which are served as draft beer directly in its own brewery inn 'Zur Krone' with beer garden. The family business employs six permanent staff and around 20 temporary workers, and in addition to gastronomy with regional cuisine it also offers event rooms. Since 2019 the operation has been comprehensively modernized: on the opposite side of the street a new brewery complex with around 500 m² gross floor area is being built, in which the existing brewhouse is being replaced by modern brewing technology, while the historic building is preserved.
