About Brauerei Krug

Brauerei Krug is a private brewery founded in 1834 by the Krug family in Geisfeld in the Bamberg district. Annual output is around 40,000 hectoliters. The permanent range includes a dark lager beer, which accounts for about 80% of output, a pilsner, a dark festival beer, a helles, the cellar beer 'Urstoff', a wheat beer, a Bernstein Radler and the beer-mixed drink Gaas-Seidla. Seasonally, an amber bock beer is offered during Lent and in mid-November, as well as a Christmas festival beer from late November. The beer is sold in six Bavarian administrative districts as well as to Hesse, Berlin, North Rhine-Westphalia and Bremen, and exported among others to Russia, Ukraine, Denmark and Italy. At the location at Alte Dorfstraße 11 there is a bottled beer sales outlet with fixed opening hours; the associated inn is currently closed.
