About Brauerei Rechenberg
Brauerei Rechenberg GmbH & Co. KG is one of the oldest producing breweries in Saxony, based in Rechenberg-Bienenmühle in the Osterzgebirge. The brewery produces draft beers, including Rechenberger Pilsner, Dunkel, Kellerbier, Bockbier (seasonal) and Primus 1558, filled in 5, 20, 30 and 50-litre kegs. Following a complete new build, a facility with an annual production capacity of 30,000 hectolitres went into operation in 1995; only draft beer is produced. The Historic Brewery was restored from 1995 to 2002 and has housed the Saxon Brewery Museum since 2002, with fully functional historic brewing technology; it is counted among the Technical Monuments of Saxony. The company has been owned again by the Meyer family since 1990 and offers museum visits, guided tours, and the sale of party kegs and souvenirs.
