About the brewery

Brauerei Schanzenbräu is a Nuremberg brewery specializing in unfiltered, hop-forward beers. The first brews were created in 2004 in the cellar of a backyard workshop in Nuremberg-Gostenhof; today production takes place on a modern brewing facility in Nuremberg-Höfen. The main range includes Rotbier (red beer), Helles, Kehlengold, Pils as well as non-alcoholic Helles and non-alcoholic Rotbier Radler. Seasonal beers such as Märzen, Waldseidla, Sommerbier, Festbier, Roter Bock, Sternenbock and Elisen Seidla round out the offering; in winter, Glühbier (mulled beer) is served at the Christmas market in Nuremberg Gostenhof. In addition to beer, the brewery offers its own Spritzz, wine spritzer and Secco in 20-liter kegs for beer gardens and events. Distribution runs through the brewery's own brewery shop on Proeslerstraße, beverage retailers in the region, and its own sales outlets, including a tavern with beer garden at Adam-Klein-Straße 27 and a standing-room beer bar in the foyer of Club Stereo. Regular brewery tours with tastings provide insights into the brewing process and the history of the brewery.
