About Brauerei Schrems
Brauerei Schrems is an independent private brewery in Schrems in the Waldviertel region of Lower Austria, owned by the Trojan family, who have run the business for five generations. The brewery was first mentioned by name in 1410, when a city fire spared only the brewhouse. The beer range includes, among others, Bio Naturtrüb, Märzen, Kellerpils, Premium Lager, Doppelmalz, Hanf Bier, Roggen Bio Bier, Vienna IP as well as seasonal beers such as Osterbräu and Weihnachtsbräu. The entire brewing process is based on centuries-old family knowledge and is implemented with state-of-the-art technology. The raw materials are soft Waldviertel spring water, Mühlviertel aroma hops and brewing barley from the EZG eco-region Waldviertel, keeping regionality and sustainability at the forefront. Since 2021, the brewery has been a founding member of the Association of Independent Private Breweries of Austria.
