About Brauerei Stolz
Brauerei Stolz GmbH & Co. KG is a private brewery founded in 1919 in Isny im Allgäu in the Ravensburg district. At that time, Johann Stolz and Heinrich Schmidt acquired the former Engel brewery from the Ochsengesellschaft at today's Brauereigasthof Engel; since 1949 the business has been solely owned by the Stolz family and is now run by the brothers Josef and Hans Stolz. The brewery produces seven different beer varieties as well as three seasonal beers (Josefsbier or Märzenbier, Jahrgangsbier, Weihnachtsbier). The beer is brewed in accordance with the Purity Law of 1516 from Tettnang hops, Upper Swabian brewing barley, yeast and Isny water. A second mainstay is the production and distribution of eleven lemonades. The company also includes the Brauereigasthof Engel inn in Isny. The brewery is the last of the formerly 14 brewing sites at the Isny taverns and supplies the German market.
