About Unser Bier

Brauerei Unser Bier AG is an independent public limited company based in Basel and, according to its own statements, has been brewing since 1997, with its origins in a special exhibition at Muba 97. At the Basel site in the Gundeldinger Feld, the standard and seasonal beers are produced; in Liestal, beer specialities and barrel-aged craft beers are made. The range includes an amber-coloured lager, wheat beer, pale ale (Natur Blond), a dark porter-style beer and seasonal specialities such as a Christmas beer or the 'Meister' beer celebrating FC Basel's national championship titles. Most of the beers are certified organic and are produced for local consumption under the slogan 'Beer from here instead of beer from there'. On 6 May 2006, after the merger of Ziegelhof with Eichhof, Unser Bier became Basel's largest brewery.
