About us
The Brauereigasthof Hotel Aying is a documented hostelry estate in Aying, around 25 kilometres south-east of Munich, first recorded in 1385. In 1878 Johann Liebhard founded the Aying brewery and turned the tavern into a brewery inn with hotel rooms. Run by the Inselkammer family in the seventh generation, the ensemble comprises the 1923-built inn with 34 rooms, the listed manor house with 14 rooms, the restaurant, the Ayinger Bräustüberl, the Troadkasten, a historic bowling alley from 1886, the Sixthof from 1583, renovated as a local heritage house, and the Sixthof barn, renovated in 2016, with over 450 m² for conferences. The affiliated Ayinger private brewery brews eleven core varieties and five seasonal beers with an output of around 90,000 hl (2020); the brewing water comes from the company's own 176-metre-deep well. The restaurant is run with regional produce from the estate's own garden and hunting as well as partners from the surrounding area.
