About BrauManufaktur Härke
The BrauManufaktur Härke GmbH in Peine was a private brewery founded in 1890 by Ernst Härke and was owned by the Härke family for over 130 years. Beer was brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot (German Beer Purity Law): from the brewhouse through fermentation and storage to bottling in the company's own bottle filling plant. The product range included Härke Pils, Weizen, Hell, Alkoholfrei, Amber Ale, Landbier and Radler. In 2011, the brewery entered into a cooperation with the Einbecker Brauhaus for bottling and logistics; in 2012 the insolvency petition was filed, and in 2013 the Einbecker Brauhaus AG took over the operation as BrauManufaktur Härke. At the end of 2023, production in Peine was discontinued; since 2024 the brand has been produced in Einbeck. The listed brewery building in Peine is a reminder of the company's craft-industrial brewing tradition.
