About Braun Holzwerk
Braun Holzwerk is a sawmill in Ühlingen-Birkendorf in the Southern Black Forest that has been family-owned since 1928 and is now run by the third and fourth generations of the Braun family. The company produces sawn timber from spruce, fir, Douglas fir and pine using four-sided circular saw cutting with a planed surface and exact dimensional accuracy. The product range includes squared timber, boards, planks, glulam, solid structural timber, construction products such as construction plywood, film-faced plywood and OSB panels, as well as packaging timber, single-use and EPAL pallets. The services range from cut-to-length cutting, planing and impregnation to kiln drying and IPPC treatment for export packaging, through to complete timber frame construction of roof trusses and halls. Own log purchasing, a fleet of vehicles for deliveries throughout Central Europe, a customs clearance service and by-products such as sawdust, wood chips and pellets round out the offering.
