About BRECO
BRECO is a medium-sized family business founded in 1967, headquartered in Porta Westfalica (North Rhine-Westphalia) with around 300 employees. The company manufactures timing belts, V-belts and flat belts made of thermoplastic polyurethane as well as all types of pulleys made of aluminium and steel. The core process is a patented extrusion process with which finite belts (BRECO® strip material) and endless belts (BRECOFLEX®) are continuously produced from a single die. Downstream processing includes welding into endless belts, welding on of profiles from more than 2600 profile shapes (also robot-assisted), series-production 3D printing of profiles onto belts, coating, mechanical machining, and the manufacture of standard and custom pulleys to drawing including surface coating. An in-house toolmaking department produces the production equipment; all quality-relevant processes are carried out under one roof. Customers come mainly from mechanical and plant engineering, linear technology, handling technology, industrial robotics, conveying technology and the food industry.

Materials & Processes
Thermoplastic polyurethane (e.g. TPUCLA 92 Shore A, TPUAU1)
Base material of all BRECO timing belts, profiles and belt products, including for the food-grade BRECOprotect series.
Steel (tension cord)
Tension cord in timing belts such as BRECOFLEXmove for high belt stiffness and tensile strength.
Kevlar (tension cord)
Tension cord material for belts with different stiffness and running characteristics.
Glass fibre (tension cord)
Tension cord material for special belt types.
Aluminium (timing pulleys)
Material for standard and custom pulleys, also hard-coated or anodized.
Steel (timing pulleys, tensioning sets)
Material for pulleys, tensioning sets and surface versions such as zinc-plated or burnished.
