Brennholzhandel Christof is a sole proprietorship founded in 2006, based in Rabenau-Allertshausen (Gießen district). The company processes roundwood into finished logs in various lengths. Its centerpiece is a Posch K-540 saw/splitting machine that processes roundwood up to 6.00 m in length and 50 cm in diameter; the log length is adjustable to 25, 30, 33, 40 or 50 cm. The range of services includes delivery of roundwood by truck with timber loading crane, splitting work on site at the customer's premises or in the forest, cleaning of the logs, kindling wood production, and packaging in cylinders, boxes, nets and sacks. Spruce and beech firewood, wood briquettes and wood pellets are sold; around 1000 SRM of firewood are kept permanently in stock. On the approx. 5000 sqm business premises (total yard 8000 sqm), the wood species are split, dried and packaged; self-pickup and a delivery service of up to 6 SRM per trip or large quantities by 40-ton truck complement the services.
