About Brevini
Founded in 1960, Brevini is a manufacturer of mechanical drive and hydraulic technology headquartered in Reggio Emilia, Italy. The portfolio comprises highly sophisticated mobile planetary wheel drives, planetary gearboxes, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic motors, valves and electronic control systems, complemented by winches, industrial worm gear units and special gearboxes from affiliated brands. Manufacturing covers cylindrical gear and planetary gear technology for mobile and stationary applications. At the time of the 2017 acquisition, the group had around 2,300 employees and was represented in China, Germany and Italy, with 30 sales offices and nine service centres worldwide. The acquired business units generated revenue of EUR 388 million in 2015. On 1 February 2017, Dana Incorporated acquired the power transmission and fluid power businesses (80% stake); since 2 January 2026, Brevini has been part of Allison Off-Highway following Allison Transmission's acquisition of Dana's Off-Highway business.
