About Bright Sensors
Bright Sensors SA is an EPFL spin-off based in Neuchâtel, in the heart of Europe's microtechnology competence center. The company develops and manufactures highly efficient gas inference analyzers based on a patented measurement principle that combines dynamic viscosity measurement with thermal conductivity. The BlueEye™ sensor products measure in real time (10 seconds) the Wobbe Index, calorific content, density and methane number of gases with an accuracy of under 1.0% – without moving parts, optics or chemical reactions and without ongoing operating costs. With dimensions of 60 x 30 x 12 mm, the sensor is extremely compact. In addition to the BlueEye™ sensors (Ex-D, Mobile, Cabinet Solution, OEM), the company offers the battery-powered handheld device WIM (Wobbe Index Meter) for natural gas quality measurement. The analyzers are used, among other things, in industrial gas burners, boiler commissioning, pipeline network management, biogas & biomethane, hydrogen, CNG & LNG transport, fuel cells and gas engines. Bright Sensors sells its products globally, thereby enabling the decarbonization of the gas supply.
