Briloner Hartstein Werk GmbH & Co. KG (BHW) is a family-owned company based in Brilon in the Hochsauerland region, engaged in the extraction and refinement of limestone since 1975. The origins of the quarry date back to the 1950s. At the Brilon site, limestone is extracted in the quarry and processed into products such as feed lime for agriculture, limestone for soil improvement and soil stabilization, as well as building materials such as sand-lime brick, autoclaved aerated concrete, lime plaster and hydraulic lime. Further applications lie in the iron and steel industry (fluxes, dolomite for refractory bricks) as well as in environmental protection, for example in water and wastewater treatment and flue gas cleaning. Loading takes place Monday to Friday from 06:00 to 22:00 and on Saturdays from 07:00 to 13:00; self-loading is available around the clock. The company values regional partnerships, renaturation of the extraction areas and a logistics-optimized, low-CO2 delivery.
