Brunner Spezialwerkstatt AG in Schwarzenbach SG was founded in 1994 by Markus Brunner and has since served agriculture, municipalities, forestry operations and animal husbandry in Eastern Switzerland. The company combines the sale, repair, maintenance and rental of agricultural technology, small equipment and municipal technology with its own mechanical engineering and machining production. The workshop produces customer-specific solutions and in-house products such as the emission-reducing slurry application system Schleppfix, the trailing hose distributor R-A-B, the hose reel FTS, tipper buckets, dung carts and pasture drinking troughs, some of which are manufactured 100 percent in Switzerland. For the design and simulation of mechanical assemblies, the team uses SolidWorks 2023 as its CAD system; materials include steel, galvanized steel, Hardox, stainless steel, aluminum and brass, with surface treatments such as hot-dip galvanizing, powder coating, sandblasting and 2K painting. A special feature is the specialization in Bührer tractors, on which overhauls, engine conversions, all-wheel drive installations, brake conversions and repaints are performed. Since 2016, owner Thomas Hollenstein has led the company with two locations in Schwarzenbach and Wilen.
