BRUSS is a developer and manufacturer of sealing systems founded in 1957, headquartered in Hoisdorf (Schleswig-Holstein). The family-owned company with around 2,400 employees produces at eight production and development sites in Germany, Spain, Ireland, Poland, the USA and China. Its main business areas include seals, rubber compounds, PTFE and injection molding: dynamic rotary shaft seals (radial shaft seals, cassettes, IWDR®, IWDS®, F-LESS®), static elastomer parts, translational seals such as composite pistons, high-precision injection-molded parts with part weights from 0.1 g to 200 g, busbars and current-carrying products, valves as well as modules and complex assemblies. Manufacturing is vertically integrated with its own mixing plant, chemical laboratory, toolmaking, surface pretreatment (phosphating, plasma, laser, cataphoretic coating/KTL) and assembly including just-in-time delivery. Materials include elastomers such as FKM, ACM, AEM, HNBR, EPDM, LSR and PTFE as well as thermoplastics such as PA6, PA66, PPA and PPS. Customers are renowned automotive manufacturers; applications range from combustion and electric drives to non-automotive fields such as fuel cells and machine tools.
