About Bubble Robotics
Bubble Robotics develops a modular autonomous robotic system for the permanent monitoring of offshore infrastructure. The system consists of the resident surface mothership BubbleDock, which remains on station energy-autonomously for up to six months and autonomously launches, recovers, charges and retrieves data from underwater robots (BubbleBot). The BubbleBots operate as ROV and AUV down to 300 m water depth in currents of up to 2 knots and deliver multimodal inspection data (camera, sonar, MBES, SSS, hydrophone, environmental sensors incl. eDNA) at millimeter-level precision. The software platform Bubble OS combines mission control, sensor fusion and AI-based data analysis for engineers, regulators and insurers. The team brings experience from autonomous space robotics (including NASA JPL, ETH Zurich). Fields of application include offshore wind energy, ports, subsea cables and environmental monitoring; since its founding, ten deployments have been completed (as of October 2025).
