Bucher AG is a family business founded in 1953 and based in Horw in Central Switzerland, specialising in consumer electronics. The specialist store at Kantonsstrasse 62 offers advice, planning, delivery, installation and service for HiFi, TV, home cinema, multiroom and sound systems for private customers as well as architects and electrical planners. The company's own workshop repairs TVs, projectors, DVD players, HiFi systems and small appliances of all brands, even after the warranty has expired. The car sound department repairs car radios, navigation systems, CD changers, amplifiers, speedometer instruments as well as engine and ABS/ESP control units, mainly for garages and insurers in Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Germany and France. Company founded by Kasimir Bucher Senior in Horw.
- 1981
Taken over by Walter and Heinz Bucher (second generation); conversion and enlargement of the main store at Kantonsstrasse 62; business divisions spun off into the independent companies Autosound AG, Bucher Dienstleistungen AG and BMS Roger's AG.
- 2012
Complete modernisation of the retail store as well as new multiroom showroom in Stansstad.
