Bücker IT-Security GmbH, based in Hille (East Westphalia-Lippe), is a service provider specializing in IT security and a member of the Bechtle Group. The company advises mid-sized customers and public institutions on IT security solutions, develops individual security concepts and, on request, takes over the maintenance and operation of the IT security environment. Its service portfolio includes IT security consulting, managed security services, a Cyber Defense Center with Detection & Response, immediate assistance in the event of security incidents (APT Response), network access control, IT emergency planning, awareness training and licensing. The company originated from Bücker-EDV, founded in 1986, which initially offered IT hardware, network technologies and perimeter security; in 1989 it became one of the first McAfee partners in Germany. At the end of 2018, Bechtle AG acquired the company, and in 2019 it was renamed to today's Bücker IT-Security GmbH. With more than 40 employees and the ability to draw on around 200 additional security specialists in the DACH region via the Bechtle organization, the company operates as a security service provider – not as a manufacturing operation.
