Bühler AG is a Swiss family-owned company headquartered in Uzwil that develops and manufactures process solutions, machines and plants for food and feed processing as well as for the Advanced Materials and die casting industries. The portfolio includes plants for grain milling, chocolate and cocoa processing, coffee, baked goods, pasta, oilseeds, rice and animal feed as well as wet grinding and dispersing, vacuum thin-film coating and die casting cells up to megacasting. According to the company, two billion people are fed every day with foods produced on Bühler plants, and half of all new cars worldwide contain die-cast components made with Bühler technology. The company employs around 12,500 people from about 100 nationalities and is present with over 140 locations, more than 30 manufacturing sites, 25 Application Centers and over 100 service stations. Wet Grinding and Dispersing
Bead mills (MicroMedia series) and three-roll mills (Trias, SD) for electronic materials, batteries, paints and inks, with wear-resistant chamber materials in metal, plastic or ceramic.
Vacuum Thin-Film Coating
Bühler Leybold Optics coating systems for glass, flexible electronics, precision optics, semiconductors and flexible packaging; components such as sputter cathodes and ion sources.
