Bühler Holding AG, headquartered in Uzwil, is a family-owned Swiss technology group with international operations that emerged from an iron foundry founded in 1860. The company is active in the fields of mechanical and thermal process engineering, food production and feed manufacturing, and produces among other things grain mills, roller mills, pneumatic conveying systems, conching machines as well as cold chamber die casting machines and injection molding machines for thermoplastics. Die casting machines have been delivered to customers since 1930; the former machine manufacturing for aircraft engines, newspaper printing presses and household appliances was partly discontinued again. The group operates around 30 manufacturing plants worldwide, including the headquarters and manufacturing site in Uzwil as well as the Braunschweig branch Bühler GmbH (formerly Bühler-MIAG). As of December 31, 2025, Bühler employed around 12'090 employees and generated revenue of around CHF 2.8 billion. The company supplies to over 140 countries and additionally offers maintenance, process optimization, upgrades, digital services and 24/7 hotline services.
