The Company
BÜMAG eG, based in Schönheide in the Erzgebirge region, is a registered cooperative founded in 1946 and a manufacturer and retailer of brooms and brushes for almost every application. The range extends from household brooms and washing-up brushes to gastronomy articles, hygiene and HACCP products, twisted brushes, body care brushes and floor mopping systems, through to microfibre cloths as well as heavy-duty and outdoor cleaning products. The cooperative is responsible for central material purchasing, production, warehousing, and marketing and distribution, and supports its member businesses in finance, accounting and technology. With 145 employees, it is itself the largest producer in the cooperative association, which today includes 7 further owner-managed businesses. Products are made with plastic and wooden bodies, including recycled plastic and FSC-certified wood, filled with natural fibres, animal hair and synthetic fibres. The company has been FSC-certified since 2000.
