Bürgerbräu Hersbruck – homely Franconian brewing tradition
Bürgerbräu Hersbruck Deinlein & Co. is a family-owned brewery in Hersbruck in the Nürnberger Land region (Middle Franconia). On the spacious brewery premises in the middle of town, numerous beer specialities are produced under the Hersbrucker Bier brand: lager beer, country beer, Edel-Pils, Kellerbier, Gold (Export), Albweizen, Bock, Dampfsud, Brauhaus 976 as well as Radler variants and 0.33-l gourmet bottles. Brewing follows the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516 exclusively with brewing water, malt, hops and yeast; the hops come from the Hersbruck region. After the brewing process, the beers mature for several weeks, which shapes their digestibility, aroma and taste. The offering includes brewery tours with tastings as well as the brewery's own tavern serving Franconian cuisine. Customers are gastronomy partners and retailers in the region; keg and bottled beer are delivered or shipped. The Dampfsud recipe follows the recipe of the Deinlein brothers from 1898.
