About Sägewerk Bürk
Bürk GmbH Sägewerk & Holzhandlung in Seebach in the Achertal valley (Black Forest) has processed roundwood since 1840 and today operates as a manufacturer of refined solid wood solutions in the softwood species Douglas fir, larch, spruce, fir and pine, represented across Europe. The product portfolio ranges from packaging and pallet wood, via sawn timber for timber construction, building materials and roofing, to highly refined products for interior fittings as well as biomass from residual wood. Core processes are single-log sawing on gang saws and 5-way variable circular saw technology with cuts up to 15 m in length and cross-sections from 20 x 20 mm to 400 x 400 mm, complemented by finishing services such as technical drying including vacuum drying, ISPM 15 export treatment, planing with special profiles, finger-jointing, grooving, band saw and cross cuts, as well as special packaging with individual package labelling. Customers are carpenters and roofers, planing mills and industrial processors, building materials merchants and DIY/timber retailers, pallet manufacturers and packers, as well as mechanical engineering and logistics companies. With around 20 employees, its own logistics and its own roundwood purchasing and measuring technology, the sixth-generation family business serves customers from industry and trades.
