About Büsscher & Hoffmann
Büsscher & Hoffmann is an Austrian manufacturer of roofing and waterproofing systems with its head office and plant in Enns. Founded in 1852, the company produces bitumen and polymer bitumen membranes, torch-applied and cold self-adhesive elastomer bitumen membranes, underlay, underslating and vapour barrier membranes as well as rubber granulate membranes, filter, separation and protection nonwovens, bitumen coatings and adhesives. With Polyfin AG in Meckesheim (Germany), fully acquired in 2020 and 2025 respectively, the group additionally manufactures waterproofing membranes made of FPO/TPO. The systems are used for flat roofs, green roofs, pitched roofs, structural waterproofing (CBS) and bridge waterproofing; reference projects include the Anton Bruckner Private University Linz, the KTM Motohall and the wildlife overpass on the A1 in Kemmelbach. Around 17 million square metres of bitumen membranes are produced annually at the Enns site; according to the company, more than 850 million square metres of installed membranes protect buildings across Europe. Own sales companies in the Czech Republic, Croatia, Poland, Hungary, Romania and Serbia as well as sales partners throughout Europe ensure supply, complemented by a planning service, technical support and logistics with direct delivery to the construction site by truck with crane.
