Bulk Trading SA is an independent trading company based in Lugano, specialising in the trading and transport of energy commodities. The focus is on solid fuels such as Steam Coal, boiler coal, Met Coke, Petroleum Coke, Anthracite and Biomass; in addition, Sulphur and Blast Furnace Slag are traded and projects related to natural gas and Biomass are handled. The trading desks work closely with the company's own Shipping division to offer customers efficient and cost-effective handling; the Shipping expertise is also available to third-party customers for the transport of goods such as cement and wheat. Founded in 1994, the company maintains branches in Italy (since 1996), Colombia (since 2006) and Poland (since 2017) and is active through four offices in more than 40 countries. In 2025, Bulk Trading Gas & Power was established as a company for the trading of European natural gas and electricity. Business partners include leading Steam Coal producers, steelworks, oil refineries as well as end consumers of Petroleum Coke and Steam Coal worldwide.
