About BUND Bremen

BUND Landesverband Bremen e.V. is a non-profit environmental association with its head office in Bremen that has been committed to nature and climate conservation as well as environmentally sustainable urban development for over 100 years. The association runs almost 40 projects, including the Children's Wilderness on the Werder Island, three orchard meadows, a natural garden in Bremen-Nord and an insect display garden at the Weser Weir. Its work encompasses environmental education for children and schools, hands-on conservation work in nature and landscape, working groups such as nature photography and orchard meadows, as well as public relations and press work on topics such as climate, energy, mobility and species protection. The work is carried out by volunteers and a small head office team.
