About the BVF

The Bundesverband Flächenheizungen und Flächenkühlungen e.V. (BVF) was founded in 1971 and, as a neutral specialist association, represents more than 60 companies from the system and component manufacturing sector in the field of surface heating and surface cooling. Its topics cover underfloor heating, wall heating systems as well as ceiling heating and cooling, both water-based and electric systems, presented in a product-neutral manner. The association pools expertise in working, editorial and specialist circles, develops technical regulations and guidelines and influences standardisation and legislation. With the BVF quality seal, the association has been certifying companies with outstanding performance in quality and service for more than ten years; the annually awarded BVF Award recognises innovative products and projects in low-temperature heat delivery. On its website, the BVF offers free tools such as the Surface Heating Finder and the hydraulic balancing calculator, as well as recognised rules of technology and information sheets for download. The head office also organises the annual BVF Symposium as the central industry event.
