Burger Küchenmöbel GmbH, based in Burg near Magdeburg, is a family company founded in 1917 and now run by the third generation, part of the baumann group. The company manufactures fitted kitchens, bathroom furniture under the Badea brand and electrical appliances under the BURG Appliances brand, and with its sister brand BAUFORMAT covers the market from entry-level models to the premium segment. Production is highly automated on modern production lines; carcasses and front panels are made predominantly from low-emission chipboard and MDF panels as well as wood. An in-house paint shop with innovative processes enables individual surfaces, including high-gloss fronts, which are fitted with PE protective film during the production process. Every kitchen is produced as a one-of-a-kind made to measure; capacity is 650 kitchens per day, i.e. around 140,000 kitchens per year. With 1,200 employees, burger is one of the larger kitchen furniture manufacturers in Germany and supplies more than 60 countries worldwide.

First kitchen furniture production by Burger in a sawmill in Marientränke (Burg).
- 1929
Foundation of “Gebrüder Baumann” in Löhne by four brothers.
