BUTTING CryoTech GmbH in Burgkirchen an der Alz is part of the BUTTING Group headquartered in Lower Saxony and develops and manufactures cryogenic infrastructures. Its core competence lies in vacuum-insulated transfer systems (VIP pipelines) as well as in the manufacture of cryogenic valves, couplings and complete skid assemblies. In addition, the company manufactures pressure vessels and custom-made components, including neon tanks and special versions of VIP pipelines for use in fusion reactors. Around 90 employees at the Burgkirchen site work on helium and hydrogen transfer systems for trailers, hydrogen systems for the automotive industry and refueling systems for the aerospace sector. Production is carried out predominantly in stainless steel, supported by state-of-the-art technologies such as finite element analysis in engineering. Customers come from the oil & gas, automotive and research sectors.
