The BUTTING Group is a family-owned company in its seventh generation, headquartered in Knesebeck (Lower Saxony), founded in 1777 as a coppersmith's shop. Core competencies lie in forming, welding and materials technology: the company manufactures longitudinally welded stainless steel pipes in lengths of 2 to 12 meters, clad pipes, custom components and assemblies, pipework and welded constructions, vessels, tanks and apparatus, as well as skids and modular solutions. In addition, the portfolio includes cryogenic components such as valves, couplings and vacuum-insulated piping systems. Materials are stainless steels, duplex, superduplex, titanium, clad materials and special materials. Customers come from the chemical, energy, pharmaceutical, food, aerospace, maritime, mechanical and plant engineering, pulp and paper, and water management industries. Around 2,600 employees process more than 80,000 t of stainless steel and clad materials annually and perform more than 1.4 million assembly hours; revenue is approx. €880 million.
