BVS Electronics GmbH, based in the Technologiepark Hanau, was founded in 1987 as BVS Industrie-Elektronik GmbH and, with around 200 employees, is one of Europe's repair centers for industrial electronics. The company serves more than 10,000 customers in the business fields of industrial electronics (CNC machine tools, PLC systems, robotics automation, drive technology), renewable energies (photovoltaic inverters, since 2021), marine electronics and building technology. Core services include the product-level overhaul repair of assemblies including cleaning, preventive component replacement as well as function and load testing with a 24-month warranty, the preventive overhaul of complete system electronics (ECOFIT) and of PV inverters (ECOVamping), and the sale of more than 1,000,000 spare and exchange assemblies with 24/7 availability, including for discontinued and delisted products. In addition, BVS offers reverse engineering of unavailable components, the purchase and dismantling of CNC, PLC and robotics assemblies, and obsolescence management. The return of unusable electronics to the raw material cycle achieves a recovery rate of over 98 percent; photovoltaic systems on the company premises generate around 250 MWh of electricity per year.
