About BWU Gruppe
BWU Gruppe GmbH & Co. KG is a family business founded in 1949 and based in the Hörpolding district of Traunreut. Since 1990, decentralized wastewater technology has been a core business area: the company plans and builds fully biological small wastewater treatment plants as well as sewage pumping stations in various capacity classes and technical designs. According to company information, several thousand small and small wastewater treatment plants and more than 800 pumping stations have been realized to date. In addition to planning and construction, BWU supports existing plants with maintenance, fault assistance via a 24h service hotline and its own wastewater laboratory for analyses. In addition, since 1990 the BWU Gruppe has been building and renting out commercial properties in its own Hörpolding business park with spaces for office, workshop, production and warehouse use, plus around 8,000 m² of land still available for development. Since 2006, renewable energy generation has also been expanded, among other things with photovoltaic systems totaling around 1.17 MWp and district heating.
