About CAEN S.p.A.

CAEN S.p.A. was founded in 1979 in Viareggio (Italy) by senior engineers from the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN) and develops, manufactures and tests electronic equipment for nuclear and particle physics. The portfolio includes high- and low-voltage power supply systems as well as front-end and data acquisition modules according to IEEE standards, waveform digitizers, digital spectroscopy, electronics for SiPM readout units, digital detector emulators and custom electronics solutions. The CAEN SyS division delivers integrated hardware and software solutions for radiation monitoring, safety and nuclear applications; CAEN ELS delivers electronics for particle accelerators, CAEN RFID UHF/RAIN RFID readers, and an Educational area develops teaching kits for schools and universities. CAEN products are in use, among others, at ESRF, at ILL, at ITER, at Hyper-Kamiokande and in the FTK project at CERN. The headquarters with development, manufacturing and testing is located in Viareggio; a test site exists in Portoferraio (Island of Elba). A worldwide network of more than 40 authorized distributors and national subsidiaries in Germany, the USA and India serves customers in research, safety and industry.
