About C-Con
C-Con develops and distributes sustainable solutions for the construction industry and building renovation based on the material basalt. The product portfolio includes fastening systems (load-bearing anchors), basalt microfibers for preventing crack formation in concrete (Rockfiber), reinforcement elements made of basalt fiber composite material (Rockbar, Rockstix) as well as woven fabrics and multiaxial fabrics made of basalt fibers. The basalt fibers are produced from pure lava rock by melting at around 1450 degrees and pressing through fine nozzles; the fiber diameter typically ranges between 17 and 21 micrometers. The steel-free materials are mono-material in composition, production and disposal and resource-saving, offering advantages over reinforcement elements made of steel, carbon or glass fiber in terms of technical parameters such as tensile strength and temperature resistance. The product range also includes coatings. The company is based in Sindelfingen near Stuttgart.
