About CAELIA Health
CAELIA Health is a deep-tech medtech venture in formation from Munich. The company is developing SereneAir, a smart spacer for standard pMDI inhalers that detects whether a medication was taken with correct dose, timing, respiratory flow and inhalation technique. The multimodal sensing includes ultrasound-based flow measurement, optical aerosol detection, acoustic monitoring and IMU orientation sensing. From the collected inhalation data, a respiratory intelligence data platform is created for coaching, therapy monitoring and longitudinal respiratory pattern analysis. The entry market is pediatric asthma therapy. CAELIA Health is being established as a research transfer project at Fraunhofer EMFT in Munich and is funded under EXIST research transfer by the BMWE and ESF Plus. The product is under development and is not CE-marked or commercially available.
