CampingScout is an Austrian startup from Pinswang in Tyrol that develops and distributes swivelling rear tent carrier systems for vans. The core product SwingTent is swung out via a pivot carrier like a door, thereby providing free access to the rear doors of the vehicle, and can be folded down like a wall bed; the entry height is approximately 50 cm depending on the vehicle type. The carrier can be released in seconds, allowing the tent to be stored in the garage until its next use and the vehicle to be used as an everyday car. The system is suitable for families as a cost-effective extension of sleeping space, for barrier-free camping for people with limited mobility, and as a carrier for bicycles, e-bikes and scooters up to 150 kg. In addition to the product, CampingScout operates an online shop for camping accessories.
