About CAP
CAP AG is a Swiss manufacturer of products and services in electrical power technology for low and medium voltage, headquartered in Hirschthal in the canton of Aargau. The company manufactures reactive power compensation systems from 1 to 10'000 kvar, active and passive harmonic filters, energy storage systems for special applications as well as custom-made through type-tested switchgear and controls on mounting plates or in control cabinets. Production is carried out as in-house "Just in Time" KANBAN manufacturing; every system is tested under load before shipping and documented with test reports. In addition to manufacturing, CAP AG offers network analyses and measurements, project planning, installation, conversion of existing systems, maintenance also for third-party products, as well as training and webinars. The systems are in use in over 15,000 installations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland; customers include the automotive industry, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, the public sector and utilities.

Products and Processes
Dynamic Compensation (KDS 30–800 kvar)
Electronically controlled compensation without reactors and capacitors with a reaction time of under 15 ms for rapidly changing loads and flicker mitigation.
Compact Compensation (KKT 21–93 kvar)
Type-tested, automatically controlled system in individually detuned design for small businesses, trades and industry.
Modular Compensation (KMX)
Type-tested reactive power compensation in detuned design for industrial networks with 4-quadrant control.
Small Compensation (KRE 11–22 kvar)
Non-detuned compensation system in a robust steel cabinet for wall mounting, available from stock.
Active Filters (FAS W 25–150 A, FAS S 150–1200 A)
Highly dynamic filters for reducing harmonics up to the 50th harmonic, modular as wall-mounted, insert or cabinet versions.
Passive Harmonic Filter (FMM A)
Reduces THDi(R) at full load typically to ≤5% and supports compliance with the power quality standards IEC 61000-2-4, EN 50160, IEEE 519 and G5/4-1.
Medium-Voltage Compensation (MSX)
Systems built from individual capacitors and filter-circuit reactors for indoor and outdoor installation, delivered ready for operation and connection.
Reactive Power Controller RBXX
Microprocessor-controlled, 4-quadrant-capable controllers with 6 to 24 switching outputs for conventional and dynamic steps.
Filter-Circuit Reactor DRX
Three-phase reactors with detuning factors from 5.7 to 14% for 400-V-50-Hz applications, available from stock.
