Caparol is the leading brand of DAW SE, an independent family business founded in 1895 and headquartered in Ober-Ramstadt in the Odenwald region. The company produces high-quality paints, coatings, glazes and renders for interior and exterior use, including dispersion paints, silicate paints, silicone resin facade paints as well as preservative-free interior paints based on E.L.F. plus technology. The portfolio also includes external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) based on polystyrene and mineral wool, acoustic systems, building protection products, floor coatings as well as products for corrosion protection and concrete repair. In addition to the range for the preservation of historical monuments (Histolith), Caparol offers the ColorExpress tinting service, a computer-controlled tinting system installed more than 6,000 times worldwide with over 8 million colour formulations. The products are available from over 300 trading partners in Germany; international sales companies exist among others in Belgium, France, Italy, China and Kenya.
