About CapLid
CapLid is a packaging manufacturer and part of the Apis Rex Ltd. group. The company manufactures closure lids for wet wipes packaging using the PulPac Dry Moulded Fiber technology, used under exclusive licence from PulPac (Sweden). In this patented process, fluff pulp from recycled or sustainably fresh sources is processed into a network of low-density cellulose fibres, treated to be moisture-resistant and then pressed into its final shape using the patented moulding technology. The lids are 100% plastic-free, recyclable and compostable and replace fossil-based polypropylene lids as a drop-in solution without re-tooling, with the same processability and comparable costs. For brand design, CapLid offers scatter and register printing on both sides as well as embossing. Target industries are wet wipes packaging, the packaging industry and consumer goods. According to the company, this can avoid the use of more than 3 billion plastic packaging parts per year.
