About Cara AG
Cara AG is a German, family-run company based on the Kurfürstendamm in Berlin, specialising in the production of personalised memorial products. At its core are memorial diamonds, synthesised from the carbon of hair, cremation ash or other organic material in a chemical and physical process, as well as artisanal memorial crystals made of crystal glass that encase ash and are crafted by hand without casting moulds. The customer chooses size (0.10 to 1.00 ct, larger on request), shape, colour and cut (including Brilliant, Radiant, Emerald, Princess, Asscher, Heart); as desired, the diamonds are set by a goldsmith's atelier in Berlin into individual pieces of jewellery made of gold, platinum or silver. In addition, Cara AG offers sea burials with its own ships on the Greifswalder Bodden and in Albufeira (Portugal) as well as estate administration. According to the company's own statements, diamonds and crystals are manufactured in Germany – the crystals in a glassworks in the southern Brandenburg region – with the option of personally accompanying the creation process. Sales channels are the Berlin exhibition, free nationwide consultations and a Germany-wide partner network of funeral homes.
