CARAT AUTOMATION GmbH
Schwäbisch GmündNew on Amplifa
System Integrator and Turnkey Provider
Carat Automation is an independent system integrator and turnkey provider for industrial automation based in Schwäbisch Gmünd. The company develops, designs and manufactures custom assembly systems ranging from process-reliable manual workstations to fully automated assembly lines, including processes such as joining, pressing, screwdriving, riveting, bonding, dispensing and leak testing. Further products include leak testing and functional testing systems, 2D and 3D inspection and measurement systems, laser class 1 laser marking systems, robot handling solutions, clamping fixtures for machining centers as well as the collaborative robot cell CRX01 based on Fanuc. With its own design and electrical engineering departments, mechanics, hardware and software are developed entirely in-house, including simulation via digital mock-up. An AI solution based on Reinforcement Learning automates the straightening of cast structural components to an accuracy of tenths. Core industries are e-mobility with assembly lines for battery modules and battery systems as well as wind energy and mechanical engineering. Systems are pre-commissioned in the company's own assembly hall, handed over on site, and supported during production with training, service and maintenance.
