CARCO NOVOTEMA PRECISION RUBBER PRODUCTS S.p.A. (CARCO PRP) develops and manufactures seals and sealing systems made of elastomers and thermoplastics for critical industrial applications. The product range includes turned, milled and punched seals – including split seals – as well as vulcanized, reinforced elastomer seals. Thermoplastic seals up to 3 m in diameter are produced on CNC lathes; for vulcanization of reinforced elastomer seals, one of the largest presses worldwide is available, with a 3 x 3 m working surface. Materials used include PTFE with various fillers and additives, modified PTFE, PEEK, POM, PE, PA and low-friction polyurethane. An in-house laboratory tests raw materials and performs functional tests on products. The group employs more than 800 people at production sites in Italy, the USA and Canada and supplies industries such as Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage and marine.
