The Cardel Group is a manufacturer of specialty lamination materials founded in 1996, headquartered in Baldock, UK, with sales locations in Langenhagen (VTT GmbH), Penang (Malaysia) and the USA. The portfolio includes precision-manufactured lamination plates made from ferritic, austenitic and martensitic steels with tolerances of 2–3 microns, press pads made of aramid, butyl rubber, silicone, brass and copper, lamination cassettes, chip bonding adhesives under the Cardel Hi Bond brand, prelaid magnetic stripes as well as core sheets and overlays made from PVC, rPVC, PETG, rPETG, ABS and polycarbonate. Products are used in payment and smart cards, secure identity documents and passport data pages, PCB lamination, wood lamination as well as in automotive, aerospace and fuel cell applications – in some cases up to 400 °C process temperature.
